Grids and Abstractions
The structure of the grid gives me a sense of time, moments that are repetitive in a concrete sense. Choice of pigment allows for some motion within the combination of colors. Each color is painted into the grid when the other color is wet. Slight shifts of my hand or the bristles of the brush cause one color to move into the other. Through repetition a randomness occurs that makes each section of the grid unique.
