There are a few spots left for this workshop as of 4/7/09. As soon as I know I will post the last possible date for you to join this class. Please call Elizabeth Buck at WAM (see below) ASAP if you would like to go.
May 12-20, 2009
Sponsored by the Worcester Art Museum with Toscana Americana
Explore the stunning and dramatic coastal terrain of the Italian towns of Vernazza, Manarola, Riomaggiore, Monterosso al Mare, and Corniglia, known collectively as the Cinque Terra.
In this week of intensive study students will focus on making the most of on site time by developing strong compositional designs, preparatory sketches, and color studies. The studies will then be used to complete on-site works and as a reference source for works to be completed in studio at a later date. Students will work in their favorite medium- watercolor, oil paints (traditional or water soluble), acrylics, colored pencil, or pastel, and should have a basic understanding of that medium. Course instruction will involve lectures, one on one time with Kat, and group critiques.
Class size is limited, so don't wait to sign up.
Fee includes: tuition, tourist class hotels (double occupancy-an additional fee of $150 provides single occupancy); continental breakfasts daily; land transportation in Italy (except on free day). Non-refundable $400 deposit is due by Friday, Febuary 12, 2009; full payment is due by Friday, March 13, 2009. The $400 deposit is non-refundable except in the case of program cancellation.
