Day 9 Supports for oil painting. Stretching canvas.
Day 10 Master Painting. Learn the painting technique of a master artist.
Day 11 Master Painting continued.
Day 12 Master Painting completed. Final critique.

We will discuss supplies fully on the first day of class. You may wish to refrain from buying supplies until after that time.
***First Day of Class bring a pencil & sketchbook (9” X 12” minimum)
Basic Palette:
Titanium/Zinc White (NOT Underpainting White) Burnt Umber
Cadmium Yellow Light Burnt Sienna
Cadmium Red, Medium Yellow Ochre
Alizarin Crimson Paynes Gray
Ultramarine Blue Pthalo Green
Pthalo Blue Viridian Green (optional)
Oil Painting Mediums:
Turpentine
Linseed Oil
Damar Varnish
Stand Oil
Brushes:
Bristle Brushes:
#2 Round
#6 Bright
#6 Round
#10 Round
#12 Bright
Soft brushes (Sablette is fine):
#1, #6, #10, 1/8" Rigger
Palette Knife
Painting Surfaces:
Canvas paper pad- 9" X 12" or 11" X 14" (preferred)
Masonite drawing board
tape or clamps
We will discuss supplies needed for stretching canvas in class.
Other Materials:
Palette- White surface only, minimum 10" X 12" *Disposable paper painting palettes are a good option. Please note, you cannot use plastic palettes or containers as turpentine melts plastic.
Vine charcoal
Rags- old T-shirts work well (not just paper towels)
Glass mayonnaise jar with lid for turpentine to clean brushes.
Round plastic kitchen scrubby
Small glass jar for clean turpentine
2 small glass jars for mixing mediums
Tablespoon or old soup spoon
Latex or vinyl disposable gloves
